## Overview

The CzechLight SDN Dual BiDi EDFA (Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifier) amplifies optical signals in **both directions over a single fiber**.
It contains two independent amplifier modules:

- **C-band module:** 1540–1547 nm
- **L-band module:** 1572 nm

## Key features

- Two independent bidirectional EDFA modules (C-band and 1572 nm)
- Four low-noise, hot-swappable fans
- Redundant, hot-swappable power supplies (100–230 V AC or 48 V DC)
- Operating mode selectable independently for each module:
  - **ACC** – Automatic Current Control (manual pump current)
  - **AGC** – Automatic Gain Control
- Remote management: SSH2 CLI, local console via micro-USB
- Password and public-key authentication
- SDN control: NETCONF and RESTCONF, YANG model
- IPv4 and IPv6, DNS, firewall, alarm log, NTP time synchronization
- Monitoring: operating mode, pump current, input/output power, laser diode current, temperature, power supplies, fan speed, alarms
