# CzechLight SDN

CzechLight SDN devices are optical network elements developed by CESNET.
They are all managed in the same way, either over SSH and a local console, or through NETCONF and RESTCONF with YANG models for SDN control.

If you have just unpacked a device, start with its quick start guide, for example the {ref}`Dual BiDi EDFA quick start <edfa-quick-start>`.
