Quick Start

  1. Unpack and inspect the unit. TODO: package contents list (power cords, rack ears, etc.).

  2. Mount it in a 19” rack (Rack mounting).

  3. Connect power to both power supplies (Power supplies).

  4. Connect the console cable (micro-USB) or an Ethernet cable to eth0 (First connection).

  5. Log in and change the default passwords (First login and security).

  6. Set the IP address if DHCP is not wanted (Network configuration).

  7. Clean and connect the fibers, with attenuators so that both directions receive similar power (Optical setup).

  8. Set the pump current, check gain and power levels (Amplifier settings).

  9. Save the configuration: copy running startup.
